Antoaneta Angelova-Krasteva

Antoaneta Angelova-Krasteva has been Director at DG EAC since 2016. She is currentlyDirector for Innovation, Digital Education and International Cooperation. She is responsiblefor the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) and the European Institute of Innovationand Technology, which are key components of the Horizon Programme, as well as for thesupervision and coordination of the EU Digital Education Action Plan and internationalcooperation across DG EAC’s policies and programmes.Antoaneta joined the European Commission in 2008. She has worked across variousCommission services on a wide range of topics such as external relations and enlargement,internal security and police cooperation, cyber security, stakeholder management. She hasalso worked as a diplomat in Brussels. Antoaneta is a graduate in political science of SofiaUniversity, with training and qualifications in European studies from Germany(Wissenschaftszentrum Berlin für Sozialforschung) and the UK (Sussex University).
